SCOM 2012 R2 Reporting Installation

The SCOM Reporting component will be installed on RS007.

Prerequisites

  • Reporting Services must be installed according to this link.
  • Run the following PowerShell command:
    • Import-Module ServerManager
    • Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework-Core,Web-Static-Content,Web-Default-Doc,Web-Dir-Browsing,Web-Http-Errors,Web-Http-Logging,Web-Request-Monitor,Web-Filtering,Web-Stat-Compression,AS-Web-Support,Web-Metabase,NET-HTTP-Activation,Web-Asp-Net,Web-Windows-Auth –restart
    • Reboot the server.
    • Install Windows update.

Installation steps

Log on RS007 with an account that has local administrative rights, SQL sysadmin rights on DBCluster1, launch SetupOM.exe from the SCOM 2012 R2 sources as administrator


Select Install from Operations Manager 2012 R2 Screen


From Select features to install Select

Reporting Server, Click next.


On the select installation location screen, leave the default option then click next.


Click Next.


Select I have read ……… to I accept the terms in the license agreement.


Enter the name of the management Server MS002.


Select the local Reporting Services instance, RS007.


Enter the information of the domain account Domain\SCOM_Action_Account.


On Help improve operations manager screen, Select both option Off then click next.


On Microsoft Update Screen Select Off then click next.


Review the information then click next.


Wait


You should have all marked green.


Open the SCOM console, Make sure that the reporting tab accessible and you can generate simple report.
